Choosing Tents for Your Wedding

Weddings are elegant, gorgeous and necessary for most outdoor events. The perfect tent will protect you and your guests form unexpected weather conditions while giving you a stylish backdrop for your reception or ceremony.

1. Tension tents

This type of tent comes with large poles in the center. This makes the roof sloped and the peaks high. The shape of the tent is as result of the tension put on the fabrics and tie downs, and because the tensions tents have high ceilings, the interior feels open and spacious. The best thing about this tent is that they hold up in bad weather condition and against wind.

2. Pole tents

This is the most common style of tents and the cheapest for that matter, portable, lightweight, and also easy to install. The pole tents come with small peaks at the center. They have a downward sloping appearance, because of the high poles at the center of the tent as well as shorter poles on the outside. The poles have to be staked into the ground. However, you cannot use the tent on gravel or concrete.

3. Frame tents

Frame tents depend on the metal frame and not the interior poles to hold the canopy in place. They are perfect for smaller spaces, because they don’t need additional clearance for stakes and ropes, and you can erect in most surfaces. However, these tents are very expensive, heavier and difficult to install than other types of tent.

4. How to find a seller

It is important to find a vendor as early as you can, but you should do this once you secure your venue. This is because, at that time, other couples will be looking for tents. You can contact various tent rental companies to make comparison for styles as well as quotes.
